More knitting in the city

Here's a picture of somthing that I had forgotten about making!  I was helping one of the girls was looking for a jacket this morning when I found this scarf that I had made some time ago.  It is knit from fabric strips and ribbon.  The fabrics were left over from flower girl dresses I had made for them.

In this picture you can see where I joined a piece of ribbon at the edge just by making a knot.  You can also see where I added a new fabric strip by just making a knot in the middle to the scarf.  The fuzzy rows where made by knitting with both the smooth blue fabric strips and strips cut from the organza that I used for the overskirt.  In some rows, I also knit with the smooth fabric and a white eyelash yarn.  I didn't knot the organza.  I just added it on at the end of a row.  I cut all the strips about 1/4 inch wide.

Here is a close up of the fringe.

You can get a better look of the yarn and the two fabrics.  The organza is so filmy that it doesn't show up very well in the pictures.

I also made several purses that year by knitting fabric strips.  I'll have to see if I can find them and take pictures to show you.

I get to go home tonight.  If you don't hear from me for a couple of days, it will be because my computer at home is toast!
