Cupcakes with swirled icing in two colors

Here's the cupcakes with two colors of icing swirled together.  I usually use pink and neon green, but I want these to be more generic.  They make pretty eye candy.

It's late and I'm tired so I'll save the "how to" pictures for tomorrow.

Making pretty eye candy: what a satisfactory idea

  2. They are so pretty and colorful. Brings to mind so many things…light blue and pink for a baby shower…..white and beige for a wedding shower…..green and red for Christmas. What fun!

  3. I am going to try some other color combinations. I did orange and royal blue for some with basketball picks. They looked good, too. I'm going to do dark pink and light pink, and white and pink , for Valentine's Day.

  4. That sounds perfect for Valentines!

  5. Didn't do any pink ones today, but I did make another 12 dozen. Yesterday I cut a heart shape out of parchment paper, then used the cut away part as a stencil to air brush a red heart on a cake, and the heart shape to air brush around the shape on another cake. Both turned out nice.
