Storm in the west

It has been hot, hot, hot here all day today.  I have stayed in the house.  It did cool off this evening with a cool front approaching.  Finally took the cameras out to try to get a picture of the sunset.

There was rain out there, but it doesn't look like we are going to get any of it.  We had a wet spring, but it hasn't rained yet this week, and it has been above 90 every day.  We are going to have to start watering the garden and flowers to keep them alive.

  1. beautiful photo. I've been inside almost the entire day — coffee outside this am and I don't think I ever left the house since then. And it's not even boiling hot yet. Soon enough, lol

Wow, it's so beautiful sunset! Color gradation from orange to blue in the sky and RoT are great 🙂

  3. I know what you mean about going outdoors in the heat. I don't do it either.

  4. I should have taken a series of pictures and stitched them together. At least 1/4 of the skyline was beautiful.
Good to hear from you. Glad you liked the sunset.

We have just had the hottest June on record – and we are also 5 inches deficit in our rainfall. Oh, and today was our 11th day in a row of temps over 90. Everyone is worried about how awful July might be……

  6. Wow! We had some hot weather last week, temps well into the 90's, but then it has been cooler this week since a cold front came through on Sunday giving us almost 2 inches of rain. Yeah!
