Another gluten free recipe

Wild chicory in the rain

Today has been another cooking day. I tried another gluten free recipe from 250 Gluten-Free Favorites by Donna Washburn and Heather Butt. The Carrot Orange Bars are yummy! Sort of like a not so sweet carrot cake. I also took five packages of crabapples out of the freezer and made some more sauce out of them. Sort of like applesauce, only better. Then I put a piece of fresh pork the the crock pot to make pulled pork. I need to go check on that.

I sold a table runner today on Etsy, so I need to get it packed and ready to ship tomorrow. I’m going to try to get some more items listed this week. I’ve gotten behind!

Here is one of my favorite pictures of all time. It had been raining for days and this chicory bloom was saturated. It isn’t pretty, but it is striking.

  1. What seasonings did you put in with the pulled pork?

Wow you are doing great with this new diet and all your cooking. Congrats on the Etys sale…I sold a print last week. Yea for both of us!

    • I’m finding that I enjoy cooking more than I did for awhile. Usually when I start feeling better, the first thing that I do is start cooking. I like the meditative quality of the repetitive motions and the hands on feel of the different foods. If singing is praying twice, the cooking from scratch must be praying three times.

Ah so does that mean you are felling very good!
