Whole wheat bread

One of the things I have tried to do since I stopped working is bake all of our bread.  I have bought a loaf or two, but most of the time, this is what we eat.

Whole wheat bread

It is good as is, with butter, with butter and jelly, toasted, or as a grilled cheese sandwich.

Did some housekeeping and laundry this morning, and made the bread.  Put some navy beans on to cook after lunch, so supper is almost ready.

We only got 3 tenths of an inch of rain yesterday and last night.  Not enough, but more than we had gotten since some time in July.  I need to go out and see if I can move some flowers around.  Anyone needs some iris or day lilies?

    Your bread looks delicious! I used to cook whole wheat bread. I miss those days. YUM. So good with just butter!

    • It’s like we have started a new chapter in our lives. I’ve been working for the past 20+ years, so I haven’t had time to do much baking. I’m making it up for it now! If I could just figure out how to bake stuff and not eat too much of it.
