Photo of big tree

While we were waiting for the bikers to get down to the river, I looked around for something interesting to take pictures of.  I like looking up a big trees.  Here’s a couple of examples.

Big sycamore tree

Looking up into a big sycamore tree in the park by the Mississippi River in Hannibal, MO.  Even though this was taken on July 8th, you can already see brown leaves up in the tree.

Sycamore tree

More brown leaves.  You would think that as close to the river as these trees are, they would have plenty of water.  Perhaps the heat was part of the problem.

Oh beautiful! I love looking up in trees too. I hope we have a nice fall this year. I like going up around Helen, Georgia and Dahlonega to see the leaves change.

  2. Knew it was a sycamore right off…we used to have a swing in a huge sycamore when I was young…Loved that swing!…pictures are great…and the brown leaves are due to the lack of rain I’m sure…We have seen the same thing…~mkg
