Whole cloth is a style of quilting that takes a big (whole) piece of fabric and instead of cutting it into pieces, the quilting is stitched on the fabric as one design. It is most often done by hand with lots of rows of stitching and fancy designs. My version is much more simple.
Before I stitched the lines on this runner, I washed the top fabric, the batting and the backing. The crinkling is created just by stitching through all three layers. It is listed now with more pictures in my Etsy shop: http://www.countrybydesign.etsy.com.
It looks great!
Thank you!
